About Founder
For founder Muskaan Luthra, fashion was never only about aesthetics.
Long before Muskirae existed, she spent years immersed in the quieter layers of the industry - studying construction, textiles, garment development, craftsmanship, styling, production, and the emotional relationship people have with clothing.
That perspective shaped the way she approached design: not simply as visual creation, but as an experience built through detail, movement, texture, and feeling.
Having lived between India and North America, Muskaan became increasingly aware of how differently craftsmanship was perceived across cultures. Details often considered ordinary within India - hand beading, artisanal finishing, mirror work, textile depth - were experienced elsewhere with fascination and emotional appreciation.
This awareness became central to Muskirae:
creating clothing that preserves the richness of Indian craftsmanship while presenting it through a refined and modern lens.
Coming from a jewelry family background, Muskaan naturally approaches garments with the same sensitivity a jeweler brings to craft - where placement, finish, texture, and detail are never incidental. This influence can be felt throughout Muskirae
